Wang Jingdong, vice president of Gree, resigns

Gree Electric Appliances announced a few days ago that the company had received a written resignation report from Wang Jingdong, director, vice president and Secretary of the board of directors on August 17. Wang Jingdong applied to resign from the position of director, vice president and Secretary of the board of directors for personal reasons. After resignation, Wang Jingdong no longer held any post in the company. Wang Jingdong joined Gree Electric in November 2002, successively served as the director of finance department, procurement department and audit department, and served as the assistant to the president of the company from April 2006 to September 2009. From January 2008 to now, Wang Jingdong has also served as the financial director of the company and the Secretary of the board of directors of the company since July 2009; since October 2009, Wang Jingdong has served as the vice president, financial director and Secretary of the board of directors of the company. According to Wang Jingdong’s experience in Gree, Wang Jingdong has served Gree for nearly 18 years, among which he has served as the Secretary of the board for 11 years, and he is worthy of being a senior figure. Wangjingdong currently holds 0.01% of the shares in Gree, with a market value of over 50 million. Before that, Dong Mingzhu, chairman of Gree Electric appliances, said in an interview: “those who have left will never come back. We should create opportunities and platforms for excellent employees.”
