Turkish Ministry of Defense: Turkish Russian joint patrol team attacked in Syria

On August 17 local time, the Turkish defense ministry said that the Turkish and Russian military had completed the 25th round of joint patrol on the M4 highway of idrib in Syria. During the joint patrol, the convoy was attacked and a Turkish military vehicle was slightly damaged, the statement said. Turkey has launched retaliatory actions. At the beginning of March this year, the leaders of Turkey and Russia reached an agreement on a cease-fire in the Syrian province of idrib. According to the agreement, from March 15, Turkey and Russia will conduct joint patrols along the M4 highway, the strategic route of idrib. So far, the two sides have completed 25 rounds of patrols.
