Tiktok, a short video app, said on Thursday that it had deleted more than 380000 videos in the United States because they violated the company’s hate speech policy, Reuters reported on Thursday. Tiktok also said more than 1300 accounts that publish hate content have been banned. In a blog post, tiktok said in a blog post that the company has taken action against such content as racial harassment and zero tolerance policies against organized hate groups and contents that deny “violent tragedies” such as the Holocaust or slavery. The tiktok app is very popular among American teenagers, most famous for short videos such as dancing, lip synching and delivering challenges. But earlier this month, the US civil society organization anti Defamation League believed that this platform was used by some people to spread white supremacy and anti Jewish hate speech. < / P > < p > tiktok’s practice in content auditing has always attracted the attention of American public opinion. In March, tiktok appointed a content advisory committee to advise on its policies and assess the company’s actions. < / P > < p > US President Donald Trump last week ordered byte skipping to sell tiktok’s U.S. business within 90 days, otherwise the app would be banned in the US. U.S. government officials have said they are worried that user information may be passed on to the Chinese government. Tiktok said it had never provided user data to the Chinese government.
