Singapore’s foreign minister Vivian and visiting Japanese Foreign Minister mauki minchong issued a joint statement on the 13th. The foreign ministers of the two countries have reached a general consensus on the establishment of a short-term business channel between Singapore and Japan, and instructed officials from both sides to finalize the relevant agreement before the beginning of next month. The two countries decided to explore the relaxation of entry restrictions and set up “short-term business” and “resident personnel” green channels to allow business travelers and cross-border employees to travel to each other’s countries on the premise of meeting certain quarantine conditions.
