Harbin, August 14, Xinhua News Agency reported that on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Japan’s declaration of unconditional surrender, experts on “731” issues of Harbin academy of Social Sciences exclusively announced to Xinhua News Agency reporters a number of new discoveries of biological warfare by Japanese invaders, exposing secret transactions between the United States and Japan after World War II, adding new evidence for the United States to cover up the biological warfare crimes of Japanese army 731 invading China.
Unit 731, known as the “epidemic prevention and water supply department of the Kwantung Army of Japan”, is a secret military force engaged in biological warfare and human experiment research by Japanese invaders during World War II. Its headquarters is located in Pingfang District of Harbin city.
Yang Yanjun, a researcher at Harbin academy of Social Sciences, visited the United States for many times to check the Japanese biological warfare archives declassified by the United States, and copied the archives for translation, sorting and research. The new evidence found in this case mainly includes the records of the interrogation of 731 members by the US Army, the investigation report written by the US investigators, and the documents related to the secret transaction between the United States and the 731 force. The original archives of these archives are kept in the national archives, the library of Congress and the Hoover Institute of Stanford University.
according to Yang Yanjun, after the end of World War II, the main members of Unit 731 fled back to Japan, and the United States successively sent four investigators to Japan to investigate biological warfare and human experiments. From September 1945 to November 1948, at least 25 members of the 731 army were interrogated by the United States. During this period, the United States and Japan reached a secret deal. Under the condition of Exempting the 731 troops from their war responsibilities, the United States obtained a large amount of data on the human experiments and bacteriological warfare carried out by the 731 troops, which made them escape the trial in Tokyo.
in October 1947, hill and Victor were sent to Japan by the chemical and biological weapons base of Fort Detrick of the United States to investigate bacterial warfare. They wrote the summary report on the investigation of bacterial warfare according to the inquiry records. The report concludes that the United States spent 250000 yen to obtain data on human experiments and bacteriological warfare for Unit 731.
Yang Yanjun said that through the translation, collation and analysis of the obtained archives, it was also found that the documents related to secret transactions between the United States and the 731 forces, including the exchange of messages between the US military forces stationed in Japan, the US Department of defense and the headquarters of the joint staff.
according to Yang Yanjun, these messages adopt technical expressions to hide people’s eyes. The core content is to obtain all experimental data of Unit 731 under the condition of exempting Shiro Ishii and all members of Unit 731.
