[Liu Yupeng, special correspondent of the Global Times] the political crisis triggered by the questioning of the presidential election results in Belarus is still fermenting, which makes the opposition leader Svetlana dihanovskaya, a previously unknown housewife, to become a world-famous figure. Svetlana dihanovskaya was born in September 1982 in a town of mikashevitch, Brest state, Belarus. She graduated from high school with excellent grades and was admitted to mozili Education University to study English and German. After graduation, she worked as an English teacher in the school. She also worked for a charity that helps victims of the Chernobyl nuclear accident. Tihanovskaya has two children with her husband, well-known Belarusian opposition figure and Youtube blogger Sergey tihanovsky. In recent years, dihanovskaya has become a housewife, teaching her husband and children at home. In fact, it was not dihanovskaya, but her husband, who was originally preparing for this year’s general election. Mr. dihanovsky’s criticism of the government and President Lukashenka Lukashenko is popular in China, but he was arrested on May 29 for police charges. Dissatisfied with the government’s crackdown on the opposition, dihanovskaya later announced that her husband would run for the election and was strongly supported by her husband’s party, thus becoming a “dark horse” in the current presidential election. The Central Election Commission released the final voting results on the 14th: Lukashenko won 80.1% of the votes, and tihanovskaya was 10.12%. Fearing arrest, tihanovskaya fled to Lithuania. Even so, the opposition protests have never stopped. On the 17th, dihanovskaya also said that she was ready to serve as the national leader to calm down the domestic situation.
